I owned uggs in 6th grade. (circa 1990) They use to be big with surfers, my dad was a surfer and he bought me a pair for christmas. I lived in so cal and was growing a lot so I grew out of them having wore them a handful of times.
I would not wear them today. I agree with your conclusion that it is just silly.
k so i'm a little behind on the podcast, catching up though, and seriously jeans w/ flip-flops on guys... all bad.
